Positive human enhancement by organizational order
“Technology eliminates jobs, not work” (Bowen, 1966). Paradoxically, the advent of the technodiad which encompasses RAIA - Robotics, AI, Automation and STARA - Smart Technology, AI, Robotics, Algorithms, advances the agenda towards a more human-centric work designs. As knowledge workers such as ICT professionals, physicians, pharmacists, architects, engineers, scientists, public accountants, lawyers, editors are no longer immune to change when compared to skilled laborers, such as welders, heavy equipment operators or professional drivers, the most valuable organizational asset will still be the human element. In the eye of the storm however, the magnitude of the ecosystemic change brings all of the working classes’ on the edge. Organizational support and empowerment become as relevant as ever while the treasure hunt for talent - organizational fit unfolds in an open battlefield. In this context, the most prized asset, the human factor, needs acknowledgement and a voice. Relative to our sector, this translates into functionality arrays, materials and color. Modern workspaces however, indicate the need for more consideration in the area of personal characteristics and physical traits. As a consequence, sustainable human resource management strategies are likely to employ anthropometric data in order to ensure worker safety and work - specific wellbeing. More efficient workspaces are usually more productive, but this cannot be accomplished in the absence of the more productive methods of working. Anthropometric based working methods centered on both the cognitive and emotional traits of the individual, can lead to job satisfaction and consistent job engagement. Positive psychological interventions offer employees a sense of appreciation, belonging and control.
